The 2022 T20 World Cup begins on Sunday in Australia, as the hosts attempt to defend the title they won in the UAE last year.
Australia defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in Dubai last year to win their first T20 World Cup, and will be attempting to become the first team to win it back-to-back this autumn, as well as the first host nation to do so.
Australia, the defending champions, will host the T20 World Cup for the first time this year.
The majority of bookmakers have Australia as the favorite to become only the second team to win two T20 World Cups, with Sky Bet offering a best price of 3/1 to lift the trophy in Melbourne in November.

India, at 4/1 with Sky Bet to win their first T20 World Cup since 2007, is the other side strongly tipped for contention and will be eager to impress after their disappointing campaign last year.
It appears to be a three-horse race to see who will top the run scoring charts in Australia, with England captain Jos Buttler competing against Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Buttler is the best-priced player in the tournament, with BetVictor offering 16/1 odds for the Lancashire batter to finish with the most runs.
Between Pakistan’s opening batters, Azam is the best priced at 10/1 with OKBET, Betfair, and BetVictor, with the latter offering the same odds for wicketkeeper batter Rizwan to achieve the same feat.
The bookmakers all agree that Sri Lanka’s tricky leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is the betting favorite to finish the tournament with the most wickets.
OKBET and Betfair are both offering best odds of 9/1 for the 25-year-old to take the most wickets, aided by the fact that Sri Lanka enters the competition in Round 1 and will thus play more games against weaker opposition than many of the bigger hitters.
Hasaranga finished three wickets ahead of everyone else in last year’s competition and is expected to do so again.
